Im from Anchorage,Alaska born and raised. Watched a city with no music scene strive to get heard. From Inlet city records(Joker the bailbondsman,Kenia,Baby-J) being one of the first labels to make some noise local. I was even on Inlet city records at one point and time in my life. Since Jr High school I been on all the Local music till now. I buy everybody's album even the people I did or do have problems with. It wasn't to support that person but my music scene.

Fast forward to today only cause I don't wont to bore you. It's 2008 going on 2009 and nobody from Anchorage has any kind of deal. Arctic Flow records is the biggest label in Alaska in my opinion. Just on sales,National tours, and internet presents. You can be in as many magazines or have 5 videos on t.v but at the end of the day its about presents. We have no presents non at all in todays dying market as a region. I will be the first one to tell you it's not because of are location on the map. People show love to me everywhere I go so it's not a where Im from or where you from issue. It's a quality music issue that has been hurting(Alaska)are seen for years.

This for all the hustlas and Dboys out there. It's election year and it's the season for the street sweeps. So stay out the way and try not  get caught up. Conspiracy is a Bi@#$#$.

On another note this story is about a year old but who could pass up a top 10 sneakers used by criminals in the UK [actually 5 police forces] starring Nike with Reebok as the loyal sidekick:

Back in 1992, I put on a event called "An Evening of Hip Hop" it was the first event of this kind featuring all of the top local Hip Hop acts that were out at that time. It was a HUGH success, and all of the Old Local Hip Hop heads here in A.N.C still talk about it. As a matter of fact there was a hot group out at the time called P.B.L aka Prohited By Law, and it featured a young teenage dancer by the name of Sean Sullivan, aka Joker The Bailbondsmen. Now I'm involved with another first, The First Annual Hip Hop awards, and I could not be any happier to do it with illaska.com. I've known Jewlz for a long time, she's my home girl and she's very passionate about the local scene, it's a real pleasure to work with Vasco,Sin and my dude Cousin Ash,(I've created a monster) as well.

Ok so we got the Hip Hop awards going down in the 9-0-7, but let's talk about the best rap album of all time right now. For me the years between 1993-1997 by far produced the most thorough albums of all time! I'm gonna put my top 5 out there. Were talking about real hip hop here. I'm talking about music that was knocking in the streets that came from the streets. Music that you heard at the  after hours spot, gambling shacks, while you was tip'n, grind'n, pump'n in the ride. No bubble gum bull shit, as much as I liked The Score, and Lauren Hill's album it was to much on the pop tip. My list here is in no certain order. Here we go, The Chronic, All Eyes On Me, It Was Written, Doggy Style, and Life after Death. Like I said this is hard because between these 4 years we had the best of the best going. Reasonable Doubt is right up there, so was Dogg Food and Ghetto Dope. List your top 5. And remember NO Bullshit!
